LANCASTER, PA – On the heels of its 16
th consecutive Centennial Conference Championship, the Johns Hopkins Women's Cross Country program has been tabbed as the preseason favorite to win its' 17
th straight title. The Blue Jays received all nine possible first-place votes in the preseason poll, as announced by the league Wednesday.
Leading the charge for Hopkins is senior
Adriana Catalano, the reigning Centennial Conference Individual Champion and Runner of the Year. A two-time USTFCCCA Mid-Atlantic All-Region honoree and First Team All-Centennial selection, she is joined by a strong returning core, including 2024 First Team All-Centennial selections
Carter Brotherton – an All-American, USTFCCCA All-Academic and the conference Rookie of the Year – along with fellow USTFCCCA All-Academic selections
Aisling Callahan and
Sydney Shock. The veteran core will be bolstered by a talented incoming freshman class.
After capturing the program's 16
th consecutive NCAA Division III Mid-Atlantic Regional Championship and finishing fifth at the 2024 NCAA Championship, Hopkins is focused on claiming its 17
th straight conference crown. Led by 2024 and three-time Mid-Atlantic Region Women's Coach of the Year,
Bobby Van Allen, the Blue Jays will open the 2025 season on August 29 at Georgetown's Opening Night Invitational.
