NEW ORLEANS – Following a 14th-place finish at the 2024 NCAA Championship, the Johns Hopkins Men's Cross Country Program opens the 2025 season ranked No. 4 in the US Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Preseason Poll, released Wednesday. The No. 4 ranking sets a program record in the preseason poll, originally set in 2014 when the program entered at No. 7.
Defending national champion Wisconsin-La Crosse tops the poll after receiving all 10 first-place votes. Wartburg, the 2024 national runner-up, ranks second, followed by SUNY Geneseo in third, with Pomona-Pitzer rounding out the top five.
