Simone Adam was named the Centennial Conference Offensive Player of the Week. This is her fifth career weekly conference honor and makes her the first Blue Jay of the season to be recognized.
Adam helped lead the Blue Jays to an undefeated opening weekend, going 3-0 with wins over Babson, Capital and Rowan. After the first week of play, the senior has amassed a team-leading 37 kills on a .473 hitting percentage, including a team-high 17 kills on the strength of a .429 hitting percentage in a 3-1 win against Babson. The outside hitter also added four service aces to her weekend clip.
Hopkins returns to the court Friday, September 5, in its first game of the Hopkins Invitational as it squares off against Hardin-Simmons in an 8PM nightcap. The Blue Jays will conclude the weekend with matches against UMass Dartmouth and Colby-Sawyer at 10AM and 2PM, respectively, on Saturday.
