WESTMINSTER, MD – Johns Hopkins shot nearly 58 percent from the field to run past host McDaniel, 83-43, Wednesday night in Centennial Conference action. The Blue Jays improve 12-4 overall and 3-1 in the conference while the Green Terror fall to 10-5 and 1-3.

Tanti Felli hit a layup to spark a 10-2 Blue Jay run.
Charlie Jackson capped the run with a bucket in the paint to put Hopkins up 14-6 with 12:12 to play in the half. McDaniel answered with an 8-3 spurt to cut JHU's lead to three at 7:39.
Jeb Williams scored on a layup and then drained a three-pointer to ignite an 11-0 run as Hopkins pushed out to a 28-14 lead with 2:58 on the clock. Williams and Jackson combined for nine of the 11 points during the run. The teams traded scores over the remainder of the half and Hopkins led 33-19 at the break.
Hopkins came out firing to start the second, outscoring McDaniel 21-4 over the first five minutes. Once again it was Williams and Jackson doing most of the damage, accounting for 14 points as the Blue Jays went 8-of-9 from the field and the lead ballooned to 31. The Green Terror halted the run with five straight points, but that's as close as they could get. McDaniel would not score consecutive field goals for the final 14 minutes as Hopkins outscored the home team 29-15.
Jackson scored a game-high 18 points, going 9-of-11 from the field, along with five rebounds, three assists and three steals. Williams was 5-of-6 from the floor to finish with 13 points while
Dan Becil scored a career-high 11 points, on 4-of-5 shooting.
Tomas Bruzoni had a game and career-high six rebounds. Matt Kearney led the Green Terror with seven points. The 43 points are the fewest for the Green Terror since January 22, 2024, when they were held to 41 – by the Blue Jays.
Hopkins returns to action on Saturday, January 24 when Muhlenberg visits Goldfarb Gym for the 24
th annual Wall-O'Mahony game. Tip-off is scheduled for 2:00 pm.
