BALTIMORE, MD – The Johns Hopkins men's lacrosse team will unofficially open the 2026 season on Friday, January 23 with a scrimmage at St. Joseph's (12 pm). After three weeks of practice, the scrimmage against the Hawks will be the final tune-up for sixth-year head coach
Peter Milliman and his team before officially opening the season at home on Saturday, January 31 with the first-ever meeting with Robert Morris (12 pm / ESPNU).

Johns Hopkins Men's Lacrosse Tickets
Johns Hopkins will play eight of its 13 regular season games at Homewood Field, starting with the season opener against Robert Morris on January 31 (12 pm). Season and single-game tickets are now available for purchase.

On the Tube - Early TV Information
While all Johns Hopkins home games will air on the ESPN family of networks, the organization has not announced its full slate of televised games for the 2026 season yet. BTN did recently announce its full lacrosse broadcast schedule. With that, the broadcast information for the following three games has been confirmed:
January 31 (Robert Morris – 12 pm) – Live on ESPNU
February 10 (Towson – 4 pm) – Live on ESPNU
March 29 (@ Rutgers – 12 pm) – Live on BTN

Blue Jays Picked Fourth in B1G
Johns Hopkins was picked fourth in the Big Ten's preseason poll of the league's six head coaches. The poll, which was released today, is topped by Maryland, which is followed by Penn State, Ohio State and Johns Hopkins in the top four.
All six teams will qualify for the 2026 Big Ten Tournament with quarterfinal games scheduled for Saturday, April 25. The semifinals and finals, which will take place at Rutgers, will be held on April 30 (3 pm / 6 pm) and May 2 (12 pm), respectively. The semifinals and finals will air live on BTN. Broadcast information for the quarterfinal games will be available the week of those games.

Three Named B1G Players to Watch
In addition to announcing the league's preseason coaches poll, the Big Ten also announced its list of Players to Watch with three players from each team named. The Blue Jays named include:
Matt Collison (Sr. • M) – Honorable Mention All-American by the USILA,
USA Lacrosse and
Inside Lacrosse and Second Team All-Big Ten in 2025 • Led the team in scoring with 21 goals and 12 assists for 33 points as a junior and enters final season with 70 goals and 31 assists for 101 points.
Charlie Iler (Jr. • A) – Enters second season as a starter on attack after playing in 10 games with eight starts last season • Totaled 13 goals and nine assists for 22 points • Had seven multi-point games, including five games with three or more points, to his credit in 2025.
Quintan Kilrain (Jr. • D) – Started all 14 games on close defense last season and has started the last 26 games dating back to his freshman year • Totaled one goal, two assists, 28 ground balls and 11 caused turnovers last season and has career totals of two goals, three assists, 61 ground balls and 22 caused turnovers. The first solo junior captain in program history.

USA Lacrosse Preseason All-America Team. Collison was named to the third team, while Kilrain grabbed honorable mention status.

Johns Hopkins has earned a pair of top-20 preseason rankings to-date. The Blue Jays checked in at number 15 in the
