Charlie Jackson has been named the Centennial Conference Player of the Week after leading the Blue Jays to a pair of 25+ point wins last week. This is the third time this season that he has earned CC Player of the Week honors.
Jackson averaged 24.5 points and 7.0 rebounds in leading Johns Hopkins to a 2-0 week as the Blue Jays improved to 13-4 overall and 4-1 in the conference. He went 20-of-24 (.833) from the field and 7-of-7 (1.000) from the line in the two wins. Jackson scored a game-high 18 points to go with five rebounds, three assists and three steals in just 21 minutes at McDaniel. He followed that with a career-high 31 points and grabbed nine boards in 25 minutes versus Muhlenberg.
Jackson leads the conference with 18.6 points per game and ranks fourth with 7.7 rebounds per game. He also ranks second in field goal percentage (.535) and third in free throw percentage (.794).
Hopkins returns to action on Wednesday, January 28 as the Blue Jays host the Dickinson Red Devils. Tip-off is slated for 8:00 pm at Goldfarb Gym.
