At Emory, he oversaw operations at each of Emory's facilities, including scheduling, maintenance and project management. He also served on the host operations team for a number of NCAA Championship events, including swimming, track and field, volleyball and basketball, at one of the premier Division III athletic programs in the nation.
Â
Hyde graduated from VCU in 2002 with a degree in health, physical education and exercise science and added a master's degree from VCU a year later in sport leadership with a concentration in sport management. He would spend the first 12 years of his career at the University of South Carolina as a facility coordinator (2003-07), assistant director for facilities (2007-2014) and finally as associate director for facilities (2014-15) in the office of campus recreation before moving on to Emory in September 2015.
