Baker Announces Department of Athletics' Five-Year Strategic Priorities Plan

Plan Includes Four Areas of Focus

BALTIMORE, MD – Johns Hopkins Associate Vice Provost and Director of Athletics and Recreation Jennifer S. Baker shared the Strategic Priorities that will guide the University's Department of Athletics through the 2030-31 academic year today.  The five-year plan replaces the previous plan, which was developed in 2021.

The plan centers on the department's stated mission to BE MORE, which itself carries three main principles (below), and includes four guiding Strategic Priorities:  Competitive Excellence, Scholar-Athlete Experience, Community Building and Enterprise Sustainability.

Each of the four Strategic Priorities contains a subset of points of emphasis that have been designed and developed to support each priority.
