LANCASTER, PA – Johns Hopkins junior
Aaron Bock has been named the Centennial Conference Player of the Week following a scorching start to the 2026 season, announced Tuesday. The honor marks the first of Bock's career and makes him the first Blue Jay to earn weekly recognition this season.
Bock helped power Hopkins to a 2-1 opening weekend while making an immediate impact as the team's designated hitter. Over three games, he led the Blue Jays at the plate, going 7-for-12 (.583) with four extra-base hits — three doubles and a home run. He also drew a walk, drove in seven runs, scored six times and posted an impressive 1.698 OPS.
In a 5-4 ranked win over No. 29/RV Baldwin Wallace, Bock delivered one of his strongest performances of the weekend, going 3-for-4 with three RBIs. His two-run home run provided a key spark, and his RBI single ultimately stood as the game-winning hit.
Through three games, Bock leads the team in batting average (.583), hits (7) and RBIs (7), while sharing the team lead in runs scored (6) and doubles (3).
Johns Hopkins returns to action Wednesday, February 25, hosting No. 7/11 Messiah at Babb Field at Stromberg Stadium in a rematch of last season's NCAA Division III World Series opener. First pitch is scheduled for 3:00 p.m.
