Jackson Named Centennial Conference Player of the Week

LANCASTER, PA – Charlie Jackson has been named the Centennial Conference Player of the Week for the fourth time this season. He led Johns Hopkins to a pair of road wins as the Blue Jays locked up the number two seed in the Centennial Conference playoffs.
 
Jackson averaged 34.5 points and 10.5 rebounds while shooting 56% (19-for-34) from the field and 90% (28-of-31) from the free throw line. Jackson scored 26 points and grabbed seven rebounds to go with one assist, two blocks and one steal in the win at Swarthmore. He followed that with 43 points, one shy of the school record and tied for fifth-most in CC history, and 14 rebounds in the win at Dickinson. He notched his 1,000th career point and broke the school single-game record with 20 made free throws.
 
Jackson is averaging 19.0 points, 7.2 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.7 steals on the season. He's shooting 51.3 percent from the field and 84.0 percent from the free throw line.
 
Hopkins returns to action on Friday, February 27 in the Centennial Conference semifinals. Tip-off at Goldfarb Gym is slated for 6:00 pm.
