ROSEMONT, IL – Johns Hopkins senior attacker Ava Angello and junior midfielder Lacey Downey have been honored by the Big Ten for their performances in Saturday's win at 14^th-ranked Penn. Angello was named the B1G Offensive Player of the Week and Downey was selected the B1G Midfielder of the Week.
 
Angello earns her first conference weekly honor since being named B1G Freshman of the Week three times in 2023. She scored five goals on seven shots and handed out two assists while also picking up three ground balls against the Quakers. Angello leads the Blue Jays with 18 goals and 23 points in four games this season.
 
Downey earns her first B1G weekly honor after a career game at Penn. She matched Angello with five goals and seven points, both career highs, on just seven shots. She caused four turnovers, picked up a career-high eight ground balls and controlled two draws. Downey leads the team in assists (8) and ground balls (21) and ranks second in goals (10), points (18) and caused turnovers (14).
 
Hopkins is back at Homewood Field on Saturday, February 28 as the Blue Jays host the Colgate Raiders.
