ROSEMONT, IL – The Johns Hopkins women's lacrosse team placed 25 student-athletes on the Academic All-Big Ten Team it was announced Wednesday. This is the seventh consecutive year that the Blue Jays have had at least 24 players honored.
A total of 197 players from the nine schools that sponsor women's lacrosse in the Big Ten were named to the team. In all, a total of 2,759 students competing in spring and at-large sports were named to the Academic All-Big Ten team.
To be eligible for Academic All-Big Ten selection, students must be on a varsity team, as verified by being on the official squad list as of May 1 for spring sports, who have been enrolled fulltime at the institution for a minimum of 12 months and carry a cumulative grade-point average of 3.0 or higher.
Hopkins has now produced 240 Academic All-Big Ten selections since joining the league in 2017.
