BALTIMORE, MD – Johns Hopkins placed six student-athletes on the 2026 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Men's At-Large Team it was announced today. The six student-athletes represent four sports – fencing, lacrosse, water polo and wrestling.
The six student-athletes from Johns Hopkins include
Alec Baker (Water Polo),
Carson Brown (Men's Lacrosse),
Jorge Gana (Fencing),
Alex Jeffords (Fencing),
Alex Pan (Fencing) and
Freddy Pimental (Wrestling).
First, Second and Third Team Academic All-America Teams will be announced on July 8. Sports included in the Men's At-Large Category include fencing, golf, gymnastics, ice hockey, lacrosse, rifle, skiing, volleyball, water polo and wrestling. To be eligible for CSC Academic All-District honors, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.50 cumulative GPA, be a sophomore or above and be a starter or significant reserve.

• Led the team with 49 assists to go with 18 goals for 67 total points

Carson Brown (Sr. • Defense)
• Lacrosse

• Honorable Mention USILA, Inside Lacrosse and USA Lacrosse All-American in 2026
• Big Ten All-Sportsmanship Team
• Starter on defense, totaled 42 ground balls and 12 caused turnovers
• Ranked 3
rd on the team in both GBs and CTs
• Led JHU to Big Ten Regular Season title and NCAA Quarterfinals appearance
Jorge Gana (Sr. • Epee)
• Fencing

Major: Neuroscience
• Three-time USFCA All-American
• Three-time CSC Academic All-District
• Posted a 72-41 record as a senior and tied for first in wins on the Epee squad
• Finished his career with a 328-185 record in the Epee and 334-186 overall
• His 328 Epee wins rank second in program history
Alex Jeffords (Sr. • Sabre)

Major: Behavioral Biology
• Two-time USFCA All-American
• Three-time USFCA All-Region
• Two-time CSC Academic All-District
• Posted a 59-31 record this season and finished career with 242 wins
• Ranks eighth in program history in career Sabre wins

• Posted a 58-32 record this season and boasts 97 wins in his career
