BALTIMORE, MD – Blue Jays Unlimited (BJU), the fundraising arm of the Johns Hopkins University Department of Athletics, continued its recent success in breaking the annual fundraising record for giving in a single fiscal year. The BJU Annual Fund raised $2,524,731 in the recently completed 2025-2026 fiscal year, surpassing the previous record of $1,822,713 (2017-2018).  In total, BJU raised $8,854,872 in support of Hopkins Athletics in 2025-2026.
 
"Breaking our annual fund record is about much more than reaching a financial milestone," noted Steph Littleton, Director of Athletics Development at Johns Hopkins. "It represents an unprecedented investment in the experience of every Blue Jay scholar-athlete and our shared commitment to excellence in competition and in the classroom. Every gift represents an alum, family member, or friend who believes in our mission and is invested in the success of Hopkins Athletics. I could not be prouder of the Blue Jays Unlimited team, whose passion and unwavering commitment made this historic milestone possible. Together, we can provide the philanthropic support that holistically develops our scholar-athletes through sport - helping them grow as competitors, students, leaders, and people."

"Our goal is always to compete nationally at the highest level, while also providing a best-in-class experience to each of our scholar-athletes.  Our record Annual Fund giving reflects the commitment of our coaches, staff, alumni and friends to athletic performance, data analytics and technology, athlete mental health and well-being, leader development, staff development and support, travel to play the best opponents, and nationwide recruiting.  None of this could have happened without the leadership and tireless work ethic of our BJU team; I could not be prouder of their efforts, or more grateful to have the support of so many loyal donors here at Hopkins!"
 
Blue Jays Unlimited was established in 1995 and is the umbrella organization that encompasses all facets of restricted and unrestricted giving to Hopkins Athletics.
