BALTIMORE, MD – Johns Hopkins sophomore
Matthieu Giauque has been named the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) East/Delfina Player of the Week it was announced tonight. This is his first career conference honor and Hopkins has now produced the conference player of the week nine times since joining the league in 2025.
Giauque helped JHU to a 3-1 weekend with 10 goals, two assists, 16 drawn exclusions and three steals. He tied his career high with five points (3g, 2a), while also drawing a career-best six ejections and grabbing two steals versus Mercyhurst. He followed that with three goals and four drawn kickouts versus Fresno Pacific. Giauque scored twice and drew four exclusions in the loss to George Washington on Sunday morning. He followed that with two goals, two drawn kickouts and one steal against Gannon.
Hopkins returns to action on Saturday, September 19 versus George Washington. The Blue Jays' home opener is slated for a 1:00 pm start.
