BALTIMORE, MD – Johns Hopkins sophomore attacker Luke Mendelsohn has been named the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) East/Delfina Player of the Week. This is the fifth conference weekly honor of his career. Hopkins has now produced the conference player of the week eight times since joining the league in 2025.
 
Mendelsohn led Johns Hopkins to a 3-2 record in the Blue Jays' opening weekend at the Navy Open. He totaled eight goals and 10 assists, to go with eight drawn ejections and five steals. He opened the season with four points (1g, 3a), two steals and five drawn exclusions in a four-goal loss at host Navy. Mendelsohn then scored twice in a triple overtime loss to Air Force. On Sunday morning, he poured in a career-best 10 points on three goals and seven assists, along with three drawn ejections and three steals in the win over Chapman. He followed that with a goal in the win over Iona and a score in a 10-goal win over Salem.
 
Hopkins returns to action on Saturday, September 12 versus Mercyhurst at the Salem Open.
