- Averaged a team-best 7.3 yards per rushing attempt among players with 30 or more rushes on the year.
- Key member of Blue Jay special teams unit - had six tackles on the year.

- Member of football, basketball and track teams.
- Three-year varsity member of football team. Helped team to a three-year record of 27-7 wth a CIF title as a sophomore and CIF Semifinal appearances as a junior and senior.
- CalHiSports.com All-State selection as a senior, when he totaled more than 1,000 all-purpose yards and 12 total touchdowns, including four on kickoff and punt returns.
- Rushed for 750 yards and earned ClHiSports.com Academic All-State honors as a junior.
- Had 11 returns for touchdowns (4 INTs, 7 PR/KOR) and more than 1,000 all-purpose yards in helping team to CIF title as a sophomore.

- Son of Doug and Heidi Irwin.
- Oldest of three, with siblings Audrey and Taylor.
- Grandfather, Jay Hunton, played football at Rutgers from 1956-58 and helped the Scarlet Knights to an 8-1 record as a senior.
- Father played baseball at Point Loma Nazarene from 1986-89 and led the team in ERA (3.99) as a freshman.
