Pat Miller, a 2001 graduate of Johns Hopkins University and a former member of the Blue Jay lacrosse team, is in his second season as a member of the Blue Jay coaching staff. Miller works primarily with Johns Hopkins[apos] faceoff specialists, while also assisting with the overall offensive game-plan.
Miller coached arguably the top faceoff trio in the nation last season as the Blue Jays finished fourth in the nation in team faceoff percentage (.600). Sophomore Kyle Harrison finished eighth in the nation in faceoff winning percentage (.626), while sophomore Lou Braun (.598) and freshman Greg Peyser (.558) contributed to the Blue Jays winning 234-of-390 (.600) faceoffs on the year.
Miller actually played at Hopkins from 1998-2002, but missed the entire 2000 season with an injury. He was a member of five teams that advanced to the NCAA Tournament, including three (1999, 2000, 2002) that reached the Final Four.
A reserve defender and faceoff specialist, Miller saw his most extensive playing time in 1998 and 1999, when he played in 24 games as JHU[apos]s fourth close defender. He was also a key part of Hopkins[apos] man-down unit.
Miller is currently employed by Zimmer as a medical sales representative. Zimmer specializes in developing, producing and globally marketing the highest quality orthopaedic products and services.
Miller is single and resides in Federal Hill.
