Coach Babb calls Sineath 'the best second baseman I[apos]ve had' and adds 'he is the hardest worker I[apos]ve had.' Currently second at Hopkins with 78 career stolen bases, fifth with 11 career triples, and seventh with 126 runs scored for his career. Needs 37 runs and 18 stolen bases to become JHU[apos]s all-time leader in both categories.
2001: Made 36 starts, missing 11 games due to injury. Led the team in runs scored (42), on-base percentage (.469), and set a school single-season record with 36 stolen bases. Batted .353 and ranked seventh on the team in hits (42), fourth in doubles (8), second in triples (3), fifth in RBIs (23), and third in slugging percentage (.521). Went 3-for-5 with two runs and four RBIs in a 10-8 win against the College of New Jersey. First Team All-Centennial Conference. Earned UAA and Centennial Academic Honor Roll honors. Second Team Mid-Atlantic All Region. Named to Verizon Academic All-District II Team for the second time in his career.
2000: Started and played in only seven games due to an eye injury. Batted .522 with 12 hits in 23 at-bats and scored 12 runs. Recorded at least one hit in all seven games in which he played. Was a perfect 8-of-8 on stolen base attempts. Scored four runs in a 20-4 win against Case Western Reserve. Went 4-of-6 with four runs scored and one RBI in a 16-7 victory over Rochester March 11. Earned UAA Academic Honor Roll honors.
1999: Started and played in 33 of 40 games. Led team in batting average (.382), triples (5), and on-base percentage (.490). Second on team in hits (42), runs scored (31), stolen bases (19), and assists (78). Had best game of career when he went 5-for-5 with four RBIs, four runs scored, and three stolen bases against Washington Univ. on March 14. Collected four hits, including a double, and two RBIs in an 11-8 win over Case Western. Went 3-for-4 with a double, triple and three RBIs in 10-3 win over SUNY-Brockport. UAA MVP and member of First Team All-UAA. Second Team All-Centennial. ECAC South All-Star. Only sophomore named to the GTE District II Academic All-America Team.
1998: One of two Johns Hopkins players to earn First Team All-UAA honors. Started 31 of the 32 games he played. Hit .336 with 45 hits, 41 runs scored, 15 RBIs, 10 doubles, three triples and 13 walks. Finished second on the team in stolen bases as he was 15-of-16 on the year. Career started with a bang as he went 11-for-15 (.733) in his first four games with seven runs scored, two RBIs, five doubles, and a pair of stolen bases. Picked up a career-high five hits (5-for-5) and scored four runs in a win over Muhlenberg late in the season. Went 4-for-5 in his collegiate debut against Messiah. Was 3-for-6 with five runs scored and a pair of doubles in a win over Western Maryland. Was 2-for-5 with two runs scored and a career-high three stolen bases in a 12-6 win over Elizabethtown. Exceptionally strong defensive player as he committed just four errors in 161 chances at second base (.975). Was in on a team-high 20 double plays. Reached base in 27 of the 32 games he played. Did not go hitless in back-to-back games all season.
Personal: All-League performer in baseball both junior and senior seasons of high school. Member of Carpenter Cup championship team in 1996. Psychology major.
