Johns Hopkins University Athletics

At Hopkins: Will primariliy be a reliever. Could see lots of action for short periods. The only left-handed pitcher on the squad last year. Good movement on fastball and induces a lot of ground balls. Smart on the mound.

2001: Saw action in 12 games as a reliever. Was 2-1 with one save. Totaled nine strikeouts in 17.1 innings pitched. Earned first win of the season with one scoreless inning versus Brandeis. Picked up second win of the year versus SUNY-Farmingdale with two strikeouts in two scoreless innings of work. Pitched one scoreless inning versus Montclair State in the NCAA Regional Tournament. Allowed just one run in four appearances in Centennial Conference games. Earned UAA and Centennial Academic Honor Roll honors.

2000: Pitched in nine games making four starts. Was third on the team with 32.2 innings pitched, third with four games started, second with 26 strikeouts, and second with one complete game. Pitched one scoreless inning in his first collegiate appearance against Messiah March 3. Recorded his first win of the season against FDU-Madison March 15 by pitching six innings and giving up only one run on three hits, while walking one and striking out eight. Named to the Centennial Conference and UAA Academic Honor Rolls. Also selected to the District II GTE Academic All-American Team.

Personal: Played basketball and soccer in addition to baseball in high school. Honorable Mention All-Conference selection for Linganore and a member of the Central Maryland Conference Champions. Biomedical engineering major.
