Biography

2007: Started all 17 games on close defense after making a miraculous recovery from a torn ACL • Suffered what was feared to be a season-threatening injury early in the fall, but battled back to start the season-opener against Albany and didn[apos]t miss any time once the season began • Grabbed a career-high 31 ground balls on the year to finish sixth on the team in that category • Notched the first point of his career with an assist in a 14-6 win over Georgetown in the NCAA Quarterfinals • Turned in a tremendous effort against Delaware and Duke at the Final Four • Helped limit Delaware just three goals in the semifinals ... the fewest goals ever allowed in an NCAA Semifinal • Came back two days later and helped hold Zack Greer, the top goal-scorer (67) and second-leading point-scorer (94) in the nation, to just one assist in the national championship game • Sparkled late in the season as the Blue Jay defense began to emerge • Unit allowed an average of just 7.22 goals goals per game during season-ending nine-game winning streak after allowing an average of 8.5 during the first eight games.

2006: Started all 14 games on close defense and ended the season with 23 ground balls • Finished 10th on the team, and second among defensemen, in ground balls • Earned the first start of his career in the 10-8 win over Albany in the season-opener and enjoyed a solid debut with four ground balls • Four GBs were one more than he had in five games played in 2005 • Fueled a Hopkins defense that held nine of 14 opponents to nine goals or less and six opponents to seven goals or less • Johns Hopkins finished 17th in the nation in scoring defense (8.21).

2005: Played in five games as a reserve on close defense • Scooped up three ground balls on the year • Saw the first action of his career against Virginia and appeared in regular season games against Albany and Loyola • Played in NCAA Tournament wins over Marist and UMass • Had a then personal-best two ground balls in the win over Marist.

2004: Did not see any game action due to injuries and retained freshman eligibility.

2003 Under-19 World Championships: Helped the United States win a fifth consecutive Under-19 World Championship • Played all six games with four starts • Anchored a defense that allowed just 41 goals in the tournament • Had nine ground balls in the six games.

At St. Mary[apos]s: Played lacrosse, soccer and basketball at St. Mary[apos]s • Earned All-America, all-metro and all-county honors in lacrosse • Helped lacrosse team to the MIAA Championship game as a senior • Garnered All-MIAA honors in lacrosse and soccer • Three-year letter winner in soccer as a goalie and a two-year letter winner in basketball.
