Biography

2007: Started all 17 games on attack and finished fourth on the team in points (31) and assists (9) and fifth in goals (22) • Added 24 ground balls, a team-high six extra-man goals and one game-winning goal • Totaled just six goals and three assists in the first eight games of the season before sparking JHU[apos]s run to the national championship with a strong second-half of the season • Ignited late-season surge with a three-goal showing in the pouring rain in a crucial 8-7 overtime victory at Maryland • Added multi-point games against Towson (2g) and Mount St. Mary[apos]s (2g, 1a) in the regular season and then sparked the run in the NCAA Tournament with 12 points in four playoff games • Punched up a career-high three assists in an 11-10 overtime victory against Notre Dame in the first round of the tournament • Assisted on three straight goals during a 6-1 spree against the Irish that turned a 4-1 deficit into a 7-5 lead • Offensive difference-maker in the 14-6 win over Georgetown in the quarterfinals as he matched career-highs with five goals and six points • All five goals came in a span of 27:38 midway through the game after he had been flagged for a three-minute non-releasable penalty for an illegal stick • Five goals are the most by a JHU player in an NCAA Tournament game since Conor Ford had five against UNC (2004 QF) • Scored twice during the first half of the NCAA Championship game against Duke and then beat Blue Devil goalie Dan Loftus from the doorstep with 3:25 remaning with what proved to be the game-winning goal.

2006: Third Team STX/USILA All-America selection and one of the final 25 nominees for the Tewaaraton Award • Started all 14 games on attack, led the team in goals (30) and finished second in points (36) • Also tied for the team lead in extra-man goals (4) and game-winning goals (2) and tied for fourth in assists (6) • Ranked 17th in the nation in goals per game (2.14) and shooting percentage (.353) was tops on the team among players who took 20 or more shots • Started the season on a roll as he scored 15 goals and added all six of his assists in the first five games of the season • Opened the season with three goals and two assists in a 10-8 win over Albany • All three goals came in a span of just 71 seconds early in the first quarter • Came back with an assist against Princeton before exploding for five goals and one assist in a 12-7 win over UMBC (tallied four of five goals and lone assist during a game-ending 9-2 run for JHU) • Scored three goals and added an assist against Hofstra and fueled a 14-9 win over Syracuse with another five-goal, one-assist effort • Had a 14-game point-scoring streak snapped in the loss to Maryland, but rebounded with nine goals in the final five games, including a three-goal effort against Towson and two-goal showings in wins over Navy and Penn • Second goal against Navy came with 5:07 remaining in the fourth quarter and proved to be the game-winner.

2005: Played in 15 games and made 10 starts • Finished tied for second on the team in goals (23) and ranked fourth in points (29) • Led the team with seven goals in the NCAA Tournament and added two assists for nine points in the NCAAs • Also led the team with four game-winning goals on the year and finished second with three extra-man goals • Took advantage of first significant playing time after entering regular season game against Virginia in place of an injured Kyle Barrie • Scored three goals and added two assists to fuel the win over the Cavaliers with all three of his goals coming in a span of just under six minutes in the fourth quarter • Scored three unassisted goals, including the game-winner with 1:05 remaining in the second overtime, to lift top-ranked Hopkins to an 11-10 win over second-ranked Duke • Punched up three goals and one assist against Maryland a week after the Duke game and closed the regular season with a two-goal effort against Loyola • Scored a then career-high four goals and added an assist for a then personal-best five points against Marist in the first round of the NCAA Tournament • Tallied an assist in the NCAA Semifinal victory over Virginia and scored two goals against Duke in the NCAA Championship game.

At Calvert Hall: Played football and lacrosse • Two-time All-American (2003, 2004), All-MIAA (2003, 2004) and all-metro (2003, 2004) in lacrosse • Garnered Maryland First Team All-State honors three times and was the Baltimore Sun[apos]s City/County Player-of-the-Year as a junior and senior • Led lacrosse team to the coveted MIAA 'A' Championship as a junior • Scored 59 goals and added 48 assists as a senior and ended career with 214 goals and 129 assists.

Canadian U-19 Team: Led Canada to a silver medal at the 2003 U-19 World Championships at Towson University • Scored 16 goals and added three assists in the tournament • Was just 16 years old when he played in the world championships.

Personal: Kevin F. Huntley • The son of David and Nancy Huntley • Born September 20, 1986 • Father helped lead JHU to the 1978 and 1979 NCAA Championships and is JHU[apos]s career goal-scoring leader among midfielders (100) • Father was a three-time All-American and the 1979 recipient of the McLaughlin Award as the nation[apos]s top midfielder • Economics major.
