Faris returns to his alma mater with a robust background as both a player and coach, including positions in multiple Major League Baseball organizations and collegiate programs. Most recently, he served as an assistant coach at Cornell University, an Ivy League program, where he played a key role in developing the offense. During his tenure, he helped Ryan Porter lead the Ivy League with a .647 slugging percentage.
 
In 2024, Faris worked with the Houston Astros as a development scout in the amateur scouting department, while also supporting professional and international scouting efforts. Prior to that, he spent time with the Chicago White Sox as part of their player development team, where he contributed to their Triple-A affiliate, the Charlotte Knights, by preparing advanced scouting reports, creating defensive shift cards and coaching first base.
 
Faris began his professional journey as a production assistant at ESPN.
 
A 2020 graduate of Johns Hopkins University, Faris was a four-year player under the legendary Babb, posting a career .366 batting average. He helped lead the Blue Jays to two Centennial Conference championships and a third-place finish at the 2019 NCAA Division III Baseball Championship.
 
He holds a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Government from Johns Hopkins and a Master's in Sports Management from Columbia University.
