BALTIMORE, MD - Sophomore Hannah Kronick registered her second four-goal game of the season to guide the No. 17 Johns Hopkins women's soccer team past Haverford, 5-1, Saturday night at Homewood Field.

Kronick put on a masterful performance for the home crowd, climbing even higher in the program's all-time rankings. The young forward currently sits third all-time in points (87) and tied for third in goals (37) through a remarkable 35 career games.

Hopkins (10-3-1, 5-1) controlled possession from the kickoff and capitalized in the 15th minute when Kelly Baker scored her fourth goal in as many games to give the Blue Jays a 1-0 lead. Ford goalie Robin Chernow made the initial save on a Kronick shot, but Baker was there to finish the rebound.

Kronick then doubled the Hopkins lead 11 minutes later as she collected an errant punch from Chernow at the top of the box and ripped a shot into the upper 90s.

The Blue Jays extended their lead over Haverford (9-3-1, 3-2-1) after the halftime break when Christina Convey used her speed to break free on the right flank to play a ball to Kronick at the six-yard box for the tap-in goal.

After scoring in the 60th minute on a breakaway to secure her program-record fifth hat trick of the season, Kronick capped off her night with a header in the 65th minute on a cross from Allie Baker.

Allie Chen notched the lone goal for the Fords in the 77th minute on a spectacular shot from 30 yards over the outstretched gloves of goalie Meredith Maguire.

Chernow made seven saves in the net for the Fords, while Maguire notched two.

The Blue Jays continue their season-closing conference run with a match in Carlisle, PA against Dickinson at 7:00 pm.
