Larry Goldfarb Award

Aaron Borenstein - Game Operations/Baseball
Major: Sociology • Cumulative GPA: 3.35
In addition to his contributions to the baseball team, Aaron "chompie" Borenstein has helped out all of our athletic teams in one way or another. Far too often the behind the scenes staff goes over looked, but these student workers are crucial to the operation of a successful home event. As a four -ear veteran to the game ops. staff, Chompie has worked the sideline, operated a scoreboard, and has helped ensure a number of our home NCAA events run smoothly and live up to the high Hopkins standard. In addition to working event staff, Chompie has taken it upon himself to schedule the student staff for all home athletic events, an incredibly daunting and difficult task, especially during the fall season.
Chompie has been a major contributor to the baseball team as well as to all of our athletic teams. As a team captain for Hopkins baseball, Aaron provides his team with the support and leadership needed for a success. Whether it be catching at 7 a.m., working out in the underworld on an off day or providing support from the dugout during games, Chompie is a strong and influential leader to the Hopkins baseball team and clearly a person his teammates trust and look up to for guidance and support.
