Freshman Will Bellamy joined the Johns Hopkins Athletic Communications staff as a student assistant not long after arriving at Homewood in August. An experienced writer, he will bolster the efforts of the office with a preview of each weekend's events (please note that this is not intended to be an exhaustive in-depth preview of every game or event. Rather, it provides a quick overview for fans with key links and things to look for. Key games, especially those against nationally-ranked teams or those with playoff implacations, will lead the column each week).
Women's Soccer
On Saturday, the Johns Hopkins women's soccer team will take on Haverford in a rematch of last year's Centennial Conference Championship game, which the Blue Jays lost 2-1.
Evening the score against the Fords (5-2-4, 2-0-2 in CC play) would be the perfect way for JHU (10-1, 3-0) to bounce back from Wednesday's 2-1 defeat at the hands of The College of New Jersey. The loss brought an end to any hopes the Blue Jays had for a perfect season.
JHU will rely heavily on senior Hannah Kronick, who leads the Centennial Conference in goals (11) and points (26) and is tied for second in assists (4), as they attempt to overcome the Fords' stout defense. Haverford has held opponents to 0.64 goals per game this season.
The game will be played at Walton Field and will kick off at 1:00 PM.

Men's Soccer
The Johns Hopkins men's soccer team will attempt to extend its winning streak to four games against Franklin & Marshall on Saturday afternoon at Homewood Field.
The Blue Jays (5-6-1, 2-2 in Centennial Conference play) have looked strong in wins against Gettysburg, Ursinus and Neumann, but the Diplomats will not be easy to top. Franklin & Marshall (9-2-1, 2-2) has shut out all but two of the teams it has played this season and is averaging 1.5 goals per game.
The game is set to start at 12:00 PM at Homewood Field. Only home event of the weekend ... come out and support the Blue Jays!

Field Hockey
The Johns Hopkins field hockey team will try to snap a three-game slide when the Blue Jays travel to Haverford for a 1:00 PM contest on Saturday afternoon.
It won't be easy, however. The Fords (5-5, 1-3 in CC play) have been solid on defense thus far this season, holding opponents to 1.90 goals per game.
Fortunately for the Blue Jays (5-6, 3-2), they have a number of dangerous scorers, including Alex Lantiere (nine goals), Maddie Fryer (six goals) and Kiana Duncan (three goals).

Men's Water Polo
The Johns Hopkins men's water polo team will get a full slate of Collegiate Water Polo Association Southern Division action this weekend, with games against Princeton and Bucknell on Saturday and Sunday, respectively.
Taking on the Tigers (11-3, 4-0 in Southern Division play) and the Bison (6-4, 1-3) should help prepare the Blue Jays (12-4, 2-2) for the CWPA Division III championships, which will be held in Baltimore next week.
