-- Men's Lacrosse Hosts Siena in Season-Opener --

The Blue Jays open their 13th season under head coach Dave Pietramala tonight at 5:00 pm against Siena on Homewood Field. The game will be aired live on ESPNU and WatchESPN, and can be heard live on Hopkins audio. Click here for all news and notes.

-- Women's Basketball Looks to Clinch Playoff Spot --

Hopkins can clinch a spot in the Centennial Conference playoffs for the fifth consecutive season with a victory over Ursinus Saturday. The Blue Jays are currently tied for fourth in the standings after being upset by McDaniel on Wednesday night, 57-50. Senior Alex Vassila is averaging 16.5 points over her last four games.

-- Men's Basketball Eyes Top Seed in Conference Playoffs --

The Blue Jays clinched a playoff berth Wednesday night with a 70-60 win over visiting McDaniel, and now look to keep their No. 1 seed hopes alive with a win at Ursinus. The men fell to Ursinus in a double overtime thriller, 65-64, on January 5 in Goldfarb Gym. Jimmy Hammer is averaging 16 points over the last four games.

-- Women's Lacrosse Closes Preseason Slate --

The women's lacrosse team faces Adelphi on Sunday at noon on Homewood Field in its final opportunity to fine-tune its lineup before the regular season begins. The Blue Jays return Taylor D'Amore, who led the team in points (73) and assists (40) in 2012.

-- Wrestling Hosts Three Home Matches --

The wrestling team will host three matches this weekend, including a dual meet tonight against Messiah at 7:00 pm in Goldfarb Gym. The Blue Jays will then compete in a tri-meet tomorrow against Muhlenberg and Merchant Marine.

-- Men's and Women's Track Travels to Bucknell --

Originally scheduled to travel to Boston for the Valentine Invitational, the men's and women's track team has decided to take part in the Bucknell Winter Classic in an effort to avoid the major snow storm. The schedule is winding down for the Blue Jays, as they have just one more weekend before the Centennial Conference Indoor Championships.

-- Women's Fencing Seeks Third Straight Title --

The women's fencing team can capture its third consecutive Eastern Women's Fencing Conference championship Sunday as Johns Hopkins hosts the dual meet championship. Scheduled to begin at 11:00 am, participating institutions include City College of New York, Drew, Haverford, Hunter, Stevens and Yeshiva.

Meanwhile, the men's fencing team will travel to Durham, NC for the Duke invitational where it is scheduled to take on six schools including Duke, North Carolina and Notre Dame.
