-- Men's Lacrosse Hosts Princeton in Top-12 Battle --
The No. 3 Blue Jays (3-0) welcome No. 12 Princeton (1-0) to Homewood Field tonight at 5:00 pm in the 83rd meeting between the sides. Hopkins leads the all-time series 55-27 and grabbed a 10-8 win at Princeton last season. The Jays were victorious in a rainy outing last weekend as they defeated Michigan, 17-8. -- Baseball Opens Season Against Messiah --
After three days of postponements due to weather, the Hopkins baseball team will finally open its season this afternoon on the JHU Baseball Diamond against Messiah at 2:30 pm. The Jays return a veteran lineup in the field, including 2012 First Team All-Centennial Conference players Mike Kanen and Jeff Lynch. Hopkins will also host Oneonta on Sunday for a double-header beginning at 12:00 pm.
-- Wrestling Heads to NCAA Regionals --
A week removed from taking second place in the Centennial Conference Championships, the Blue Jays travel to Gettysburg Saturday for a chance to qualify for the National Tournament. The top three place-winners in the regional tournament will receive automatic bids to the NCAA's. Centennial Conference champions Paul Bewak (125) and Paul Marcello (149) lead the way for Hopkins. Bewak is ranked second in the nation, while Marcello is a three-time NCAA qualifier.
-- Tennis Travels to Indiana for ITA Team Championships --
The No. 11 women's tennis team will take on the nation's best this weekend in Greencastle, IN at the ITA National Team Indoor Championships. The event marks the opening of the spring season for the tennis team. The men's tennis team finished fifth at the event last weekend.
-- Men's Fencing Searches for 26th MAFCA Championship --
The men's fencing team travels to College Park, MD this weekend as it looks to capture its record 26th MAFCA Championship. The Blue Jays have historically dominated the championships, but have not competed in the event since 2009. Hopkins' last MAFCA title came in 2008.
-- Last Chance for Track & Field Athletes to Qualify for NCAA's --
Several Hopkins track & field athletes will be competing this weekend in an effort to solidify spots at the NCAA's next weekend on March 8. Junior Emily Swenson will be competing in the pentathlon tonight at the ECAC Championships, while other teammates will be at the Columbia and Tufts Last Chance Meet on Saturday. Athletes must be ranked in the top-15 to qualify for nationals.
