Men's and Women's Tennis vs. Carnegie Mellon
-- Men's Lacrosse Travels South to Face No. 6 North Carolina --
The No. 8 Blue Jays (6-2) head south to face the No. 6 Tar Heels (6-3) in a key midseason game Saturday at noon. Hopkins picked up a key victory last weekend, as it defeated Virginia, 15-8, at M&T Bank Stadium. The Blue Jays lead the all-time series, 24-17, but UNC has won five of the last six. -- Women's Lacrosse Hosts Vanderbilt Saturday --
No. 12 Hopkins looks to bounce back from an overtime loss to American this week as it hosts Vanderbilt in an important ALC matchup Saturday. The Commodores are just 1-10 on the season, but have defeated the Blue Jays in seven consecutive meetings. Hopkins last beat Vanderbilt at Homewood Field on May 4, 2007 in the ALC Tournament.
-- Baseball Travels to Haverford for Top-20 Conference Matchup --
The newly ranked No. 18 Blue Jays (14-2) travel to No. 13 Haverford (14-0) Saturday for a double-header between two of the premier teams in the nation. The pair have met in the Centennial Conference tournament four of the last five seasons, and Haverford snapped Hopkins' five-season conference reign last year. The Jays lead the all-time series, 70-19, dating back to 1918.
-- Women's Tennis to Face Bryn Mawr, Carnegie Mellon --
Days after defeating Dickinson, 6-3, on March 27, the No. 4 Blue Jays host Bryn Mawr Saturday and No. 7 Carnegie Mellon Sunday. Hopkins has defeated the Owls in 10 consecutive meetings dating back to 2001, while it is 3-7 all-time against Carnegie Mellon. The Jays recently defeated Carnegie Mellon in the finals of the ITA Indoor National Championships.
-- Men's Tennis Squares off Against Swarthmore, Carnegie Mellon --
No. 8 Hopkins travels to Swarthmore Saturday for a conference matchup, before hosting No. 18 Carnegie Mellon Sunday. The Blue Jays secured a pair of victories last weekend, defeating No. 21 Bates, 5-4, and Dickinson, 9-0. Hopkins has defeated Swarthmore in nine consecutive meetings.
-- Track Opens Outdoor Schedule at Stanford, Maryland Invites --
Annie Monagle and Hannah Oneda are at Stanford University to compete against top Division I competition at the Stanford Invitational. Oneda will compete in the 5,000-meter run tonight, while Monagle will run in the 1,500m and 800m tonight and tomorrow, respectively. Meanwhile, the men's and women's track & field teams will return to action at the Maryland Invitational on Friday and Saturday.
