BALTIMORE, MD – The Johns Hopkins men's swimming team got three individual first place finishes and a pool record from junior Evan Holder and the Blue Jays nabbed 11 overall first place finishes in 14 events to ease past visiting Stevens, 151-03, at the Newton White Athletic Center Saturday afternoon. The Blue Jays improve to 4-2-1 on the year, while the Ducks slip to 1-1.

Holder, who was also a member of Hopkins' winning 200 medley relay team, broke the Johns Hopkins pool record in the 100 breast as he touched in 56.82 to break the previous record of 57.02 by Yale's Derek Kao (2014). Holder added first place finishes in the 100 free (46.53) and the 100 fly (51.37) to complete his individual trifecta.

Joining Holder as a multi-event winner against the Ducks was junior Andy Greenhalgh, who easily claimed first in the 1000 free (9:29.38) and the 500 free (4:38.50). Greenhalgh's winning time in the 1000 free was nearly 25 seconds better than the runner-up. The 1000 was one of four events that saw the Blue Jays claim the top three finishers.

In addition to the first place finishes from Holder and Greenhalgh, the Blue Jays also had Kyle Otazu (200 free • 1:42:38), Mark Wilson (200 fly • 1:53:98), Michael Ashmead (50 free • 21.45) and Scott Sterrett (200 breast • 2:07.98) win individual events, while the 200 medley relay and 400 free relay teams were also first. Ashmead was a member of both winning relays.

Stevens was led by senior sensation Ravi Sun, who won the only three events that Johns Hopkins didn't. Sun won the 100 back (52.19), 200 back (1:54.64) and the 200 IM (1:55.90) and was also a member of Stevens' second place 200 medley relay team.

Johns Hopkins will return to action on Saturday, January 23 when the Blue Jays host cross-town rival Towson at 1 pm.
