• The Short Story: The Johns Hopkins women's soccer team improved to 5-0 in the Centennial Conference with a 3-2 victory at Ursinus Saturday. Despite giving up two second-half goals, the Blue Jays held on to win with scores from Meg Van de Loo, Kristen Hori and Sophie Murphy.
How it Happened
• Alyssa Morgan connected with Meg Van de Loo for the second straight game. Van de Loo received the cross from the right side and finished a one-timer in front of the goal to put the Blue Jays on the board in the 12th minute.
• Kristen Hori added to the JHU score in the 32nd minute as she put a loose ball in the back of the net following a deflection.
• Kelly Rosen took a free kick from 45 yards for Ursinus, and a pair of Bears, Stephanie Donahue and Macenzie Groff, headed the ball, with Groff ultimately sending the ball past Clara Aranguren for UC's first goal in the 53rd minute.
• Hopkins increased its lead in the 68th minute as Sophie Murphy scored her second goal of the season with a strong shot from the top left side of the box, assisted by Ana Bengoechea.
• The Blue Jays gave up a late corner kick opportunity, and Ursinus took advantage of it as Stephanie DeAngelo headed the ball in from Rosen.

• Clara Aranguren returned to the goal for the Blue Jays, making two saves in the first half to keep Ursinus off the board in the opening 45:00.
