• The Short Story: Sophomore Kristen Hori finished a cross from senior Meg Van de Loo 3:05 into extra time to put the Johns Hopkins women's soccer team past Rutgers-Camden 3-2 Wednesday at Homewood Field.
How it Happened
• Junior Bailey Monaco put the Blue Jays on the board in the 14th minute as she beat a Rutgers-Camden defender and goalie Katie Gurba from 10 yards out. Defender Kyla Persky sent the ball ahead to Monaco for her first career assist.
• Monaco continued the Hopkins scoring in the 25th minute, crossing the ball into the box, where Meg Van de Loo redirected the ball past Gurba for the goal.
• It was a tale of two halves as Rutgers-Camden's Catherine Fiore found the back of the net twice in the second half.
• Fiore put the ball away on an empty net from 20 yards after Bess Kitzmiller slid to stop an initial shot from the Raptors in the 48th minute.
• The Raptors' second goal was another opportunistic shot as Sarah Zuzulock passed the ball ahead to Fiore, who sent the ball over Kitzmiller's head in the 72nd minute.
• Kristen Hori ended the match in the 94th minute as she finished the cross from Van de Loo from 15 yards for the Hopkins victory.

• The two goals allowed are the most that JHU has allowed in a victory since last season's 3-2 (OT) win over McDaniel.
• Junior Bess Kitzmiller maintains her perfect goalkeeper record of 4-0 with the win, making two saves in the match.
