Isphording, Salvi Earn United Soccer Coaches All-America Honors

Fifth Consecutive Year JHU Has Produced Two All-Americans

KANSAS CITY, MO – The Johns Hopkins women's soccer team placed two players on the 2025 United Soccer Coaches All-America Team it was recently announced.  Senior Annie Isphording (D) and classmate Megha Salvi (M) both earned a spot on the team with Isphording grabbing first team honors while Salvi was a second team selection.

This is the fifth consecutive year that Johns Hopkins has had two players earn All-America honors and the eighth time since 2013 that two Blue Jays were selected.  Isphording becomes the 13th First Team All-American in program history and just the second defender to twice earn first team honors.

With her selection, Isphording also joins Katie Sullivan (2021-24) as the only players in program history to earn All-America honors four times.  She has twice been named to the first team (2022, 2025) while grabbing second team (2024) and third team (2023) honors as well.

The only Division III women's soccer player in the nation to earn All-America honors in each of the last four years, Isphording finished her career having played in 93 games with 92 starts to her credit.  She anchored a Blue Jay defense that posted 55 shutouts over the last four years and Johns Hopkins allowed just 57 goals in the 93 games she played.  This season, Johns Hopkins posted 13 shutouts, allowed just 15 goals and held 19 of 23 opponents to one goal or less.

Salvi is making her first appearance on the All-America Team.  A three-time First Team All-Region pick, Salvi is the first Blue Jay midfielder to earn All-America honors from the United Soccer Coaches Association since Emily Maheras was a second team honoree in 2019 and she becomes JHU's seventh All-American midfielder.

Salvi totaled three goals and four assists for 10 points this season and ends her career with 15 goals and 21 assists for 51 points to her credit.  She ranks seventh in school history in career assists and played in 93 games with 72 starts over the last four years.

Johns Hopkins finished 17-5-1, won its league-leading 18th Centennial Conference title and qualified for the NCAA Tournament for the 20th consecutive year this season.  The Blue Jays advanced to the round of 16 in the NCAA Tournament for the 14th time in program history with all 14 of those runs coming since 2008.
