Isphording, Salvi, Romo-Nichols Earn All-Region Honors

Trio of Blue Jays Earn First Team Status

KANSAS CITY, MO – The Johns Hopkins women's soccer team placed three players on the 2025 United Soccer Coaches All-Region V Team it has been announced by the organization.  Seniors Annie Isphording (D), Megha Salvi (M) and Maria Romo-Nichols (F) were all named to the first team.
 
This is the 12th consecutive year that Johns Hopkins has had three or more players earn All-Region honors and the ninth consecutive year the Blue Jays have landed at least three players on the first team.
 
Isphording becomes just the second player in program history to earn First Team All-Region honors four times and she is just the seventh player in program history to be a four-time All-Region pick.  Already the only defender and one of just four players in program history to earn All-America honors three times, Isphording finished her career having played in 93 games with 92 starts to her credit.  She anchored a Blue Jay defense that posted 55 shutouts over the last four years and Johns Hopkins allowed just 57 goals in the 93 games she played.
 
Salvi is making her third appearance on the All-Region Team with each selection a nod to the first team.  She joins Ana Bengoechea (2013, 2014, 2016) as the only three-time First Team All-Region midfielders in program history.  Salvi totaled three goals and four assists for 10 points this season and ends her career with 15 goals and 21 assists for 51 points to her credit.  She ranks seventh in school history in career assists and played in 93 games with 72 starts over the last four years.
 
Romo-Nichols is making her first appearance on the All-Region Team with her selection this season.  She totaled eight goals and 11 assists for a team-high 27 points this season with her 11 assists also pacing the team.  She capped her four-year career with 23 goals and 27 assists for 73 points to become one of just five players in program history with more than 20 goals and 20 assists.  She ranks fourth in school history in career assists and tied for 12th in points.
 
Johns Hopkins finished 17-5-1, won its league-leading 18th Centennial Conference title and qualified for the NCAA Tournament for the 20th consecutive year this season.  The Blue Jays advanced to the round of 16 in the NCAA Tournament for the 14th time in program history with all 14 of those runs coming since 2008.
