• The Short Story: The #8 Johns Hopkins women's soccer team came back from being down 1-0 and 2-1, however it was not enough as the Blue Jays dropped a heartbreaker in overtime to Stevenson under the lights at Homewood field on Wednesday.

How it Happened
• The Mustangs got out to an early 1-0 lead as Brittany Celano scored directly off a corner kick as her shot went just over the outstretched hands of Bess Kitzmiller at 9:27.
Insa Mannstadt had a great opportunity to tie the game but her shot was saved by Stevenson goalkeeper Tiffany McKee.
Kyla Persky made a great defensive effort to prevent a breakaway opportunity by Kellen Wittman to keep the score at 1-0.
Michelle Santangelo powered by her defender using some fancy footwork and rocketed a shot past McKee to tie the game at one at 57:37.
• Stevenson regained the lead as Raven Isaac took a rebound off a Wittman shot and put the ball into the corner of the net at 65:39.
Maddy Rocks would take a pass from Santangelo in front of the net and bury the shot to tie the game at two at 83:43.
• Kitzmiller made two huge saves in the 87th minute to keep the game tied at two, and they teams would head into overtime knotted at two.
• McKee made an impressive sliding save on Bailey Monaco who came streaking down the field looking for the game-winning goal early in the overtime period.
• The game-winning goal would be scored at 95:03 as Alex Hamel sent a pass to Marissa Inglisa who put the ball past a diving Kitzmiller for the 3-2 victory.

What it Means
• Hopkins three-game winning streak comes to an end.
• The Blue Jays suffered their first loss to the Mustangs in the series history, which is now 12-1 in favor of Johns Hopkins.
• Santangelo has now scored in four straight games.
