The Short Story: The Johns Hopkins men's swim team posted five NCAA cuts on the third and final day of the 2019 Janis Hape Dowd Nike Invitational.

Top Finishers
• Hopkins kicked off the final night with fourth and seventh-place finishes in the 100 Free. Freshman
Mitchell Simmons clocked in at 47.22 while sophomore
Dillon De Priest posted a career-best swim of 47.66.
• Sophomore
Marcelo Lauzurique led the Blue Jays with a third-place finish in the 200 Breast. Both his prelim and finals times are NCAA B cuts, and his prelim time of 2:01.95 is a career best. Junior
Jasper Van Cauwelaert followed in fifth place with an NCAA B time of 2:04.75. Senior
Peter Lazorchak touched in 2:09.83 for sixth place.

Erik Bostrom grabbed second in the 200 Fly with a time of 1:52.53. Junior
Matthew Garza clocked in at 1:53.85 for third place.
• Sophomore
Christopher Arena then posted both an NCAA B cut and career-best with a 15:41.25 in the 1650 Free. Sophomore
Riley Mears did the same as he touched in 15:50.64.
