How it Happened
• Hopkins opened the day with a 23-4 win over Yeshiva and a three-weapons' sweep. Senior
Solomon Polansky and freshman
Noah Park each went 3-0 to lead the Foil squad to a 9-0 win. Sophomore
Jake Desman and freshman
Devon Osgood did the same as the Sabre squad won by the same score. Gao and sophomore
Neel Maddineni won two bouts each to lead the Epee squad to a hard-fought 5-4 win.
• The Blue Jays followed with a 25-2 win over the Army Black Knights and another weapons' sweep. Polansky and junior
Adam Katwan combined for six wins to lead the Foil squad to another shutout. The Epee squad picked up a shutout as Gao, senior

Kyle Kennedy combined for the nine wins. Freshman
Paul Lam won all three of his bouts to lead the Sabre squad to a 7-2 win.
• Hopkins grabbed its third straight win, and a third weapons' sweep, in a 24-3 defeat of Hunter. Katwan and Park combined for six wins to lead the Foil squad to its third straight shutout. Snyder led the Epee squad (6-3) with three wins. Desman, Osgood and sophomore
Vance Wood each went 3-0 as the Sabre squad won 9-0.
• JHU then lost to host NJIT, which is receiving votes in the CollegeFencing360.com top-10, by an 18-9 score. Polansky once again went 3-0 to lead the Foil squad to a 7-2 win.
• The Blue Jays then dropped a tough 14-13 decision to the Steven Ducks. Polansky was the leader again for the Foil squad, winning all three of his bouts in the team's 8-1 win.

What it Means
• With his sixth win of the day, Gao earned his 200
th career win and now ranks eighth in school history in career Epee wins.
