KANSAS CITY, MO – Johns Hopkins men's basketball senior
Michael Gardner has been named to the 2019 Reese's Division III College All-Star Game. The game will be played on March 16 at 4:30 pm ET, prior to the NCAA Division III men's basketball championship game at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum in Fort Wayne, IN. Reese's is the official candy partner of the NCAA.
Gardner will play for Team Schlosser, which will be coached by long-time Elizabethtown head coach Bob Schlosser, who retired in 2017. Gardner is the first men's player from Hopkins selected to play in the game.

The teams are composed of two senior student-athletes from each of the eight regions in Division III, two at-large selections and two seniors who were selected by online voting on D3hoops.com. Players whose teams are still playing in the Division III NCAA Tournament were not available for consideration.
A two-time First Team All-Centennial Conference selection, Gardner led Johns Hopkins to an 18-9 record and its second straight appearance in the conference championship game. He averaged 14.6 points per game and shot 45.6 percent from the field, including 39.2 percent from downtown. Gardner ranked ninth in the Centennial in scoring, eighth in assists (73), sixth in field goals (131), third in three-point field goals (69) and seventh in three-point percentage. He scored in double figures in 22 of the Blue Jays' 27 games. In addition, he had six 20-point games, including a pair of 30-point outings.
