LANCASTER, PA – For the fourth time this season, the Johns Hopkins women's track and field team have swept the Centennial Conference weekly awards as junior
Caelyn Reilly was named the conference track athlete of the week while
Maya Hammonds was named the field athlete of the week.
Reilly earned her second track athlete of the week honor from the conference as she posted her first sub-17 time in the 5,000-meter run at the historic Penn Relays. The Bay Shore, NY native finished 19
th in the race with a time of 16:57.69 which places her ninth in the nation in the event.
Hammonds notches her fourth award from the conference this season as she set a new conference and school record in the long jump at the Paul Kaiser Classic this weekend with a leap of 5.93 meters, which is also the top mark in the country this season. The New Hartford, NY native also recorded a third-place finish in the high jump with a mark of 1.63 meters.
Hammonds, Reilly and the rest of the Blue Jays will be back in action on Friday, May 3 for the opening day of the Centennial Conference Tournament which will be hosted by Muhlenberg.
