The Short Story: The fifth-ranked Johns Hopkins men's swimming team won 11 events and posted five NCAA B times en route to wins over Swarthmore, WPI and 17
th-ranked Rowan Saturday afternoon.

Top Finishers
• Hopkins opened the day with second and third-place finishes in the 200 Medley Relay. Sophomores
Dylan Wachenfeld,
Maxwell Chen and
Jeff Vitek and freshman
Spencer Ryan took second with a 1:34.46. Following closely in third were juniors
Matt McGough,
Noah Frassrand and
Nat Davenport and freshman
Kyle Wu with a time of 1:34.66.
• Junior
CJ Arena then beat the field in the 1650 Free with an NCAA B time of 15:59.03. Freshman
Alec Caswell touched in 16:32.97 for second place.
• Sophomore
Collin Hughes picked up the first of his two wins by taking the top spot in the 200 Free, clocking in at 1:41.91. Freshman
Steven Rua finished in third place as he touched in 1:44.25.
• Chen then edged out WPI's Sidney Williams by three-hundredths of a second for the win (51.88).
• The Blue Jays followed with a one-two-four finish in the 100 Breast. Freshman
Tristan Lin led the way with an NCAA B time of 56.05 for the first of his two wins. Classmate
Kyle Wu finished in 58.06 for second, while senior
Jasper Van Cauwelaert finished fourth in 1:00.03.
• Hopkins turned the same trick in the 200 Fly, led by Vitek with an NCAA B time of 1:49.88. Wachenfeld placed second in 1:53.74 and senior
Matthew Garza placed fourth in 1:56.08.
• Davenport then took second in the 50 Free as he clocked in at 21.27, followed by sophomore
Noah Corbitt in third (21.66). Wu placed second in the 100 Free with a time of 47.18 while Vitek placed third in 47.46.
• McGough and Corbitt then went one-two in the 200 Back, touching in 1:53.56 and 1:53.86, respectively.
• Freshman
Brandon Stride cruised to a win in the 200 Breast, clocking in with an NCAA B time of 2:03.37 to beat the field by more than nine seconds.
• JHU then swept the top three spots in the 500, led by Hughes' time of 4:40.70. Wachenfeld placed second in 4:42.06 and sophomore
Mitchell Simmons took third in 4:43.26.
• Davenport grabbed a win in the 100 Fly, as he finished in 50.08. Chen followed in third place with a time of 51.64.
• The Blue Jays closed out the individual portion of the meet by sweeping the top four spots in the 200 IM. Lin led the way with an NCAA B time of 1:50.19. Rua placed second in 1:54.73, followed by Van Cauwelaert (1:55.93) and Stride (1:57.47).
• Hopkins ended the meet with a first and third-place finish in the 200 Free Relay. Chen, Wu, Ryan and Davenport grabbed the win with a time of 1:23.74. McGough, Hughes, Corbitt and Vitek finished in third place in 1:26.30.
