LANCASTER, PA – Johns Hopkins junior guard
Conner Delaney has been named the Centennial Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week it was announced this morning. He led Hopkins to a 2-0 week by averaging 20 points, four rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.5 steals.
Delaney scored 17 points to go along with four rebounds, two assists and two steals at Dickinson. Two days later, he turned in a 23-point performance on 10-of-11 shooting from the field versus Washington College. He also tallied five assists, four rebounds and a steal in just 21 minutes against the Shoremen.
Delaney is the second Blue Jay to earn the honor this season (
Tom Quarry / December 3) and this is his first player of the week honor. He leads Hopkins with 16.7 points and 4.7 assists per game. He is tied for first in the conference in assists and ranks third in scoring.
Hopkins returns to action on Wednesday, February 12 as the Blue Jays host the top-ranked and undefeated Swarthmore Garnet. Tip-off at Goldfarb Gym is slated for 8:00 pm.
