Eryk Kokosinski each reached milestone wins as the Johns Hopkins men's fencing team went 6-0 at its annual JHU Invitational. Young earned his 300
th win with the Blue Jays while Kokosinski picked up his 100
th win.

How it Happened
• Hopkins opened the day with a 27-0 win over TCNJ. Sophomore
Noah Park and junior
Eashan Gupta won three bouts each for the Foil squad. Sophomore
Kyle Kennedy and freshmen
Danny Comer and
Kent Kotaka combined to lead the Epee squad to a 9-0 win. And in the Sabre, junior
Jake Desman, sophomore
Devin Osgood and freshman
David DeScherer each won two bouts.
• The Blue Jays then defeated the Rutgers Scarlet Knights with win sin the Foil (9-0) and Sabre (6-3). Park and Gupta once again led the Foil squad with a combined six wins. Osgood won both of his bouts to lead the Sabre squad.
• Hopkins earned a 22-5 win over Lafayette with a three-weapon sweep. For the third straight match, Gupta won all three of his bouts as the Foil squad won 8-1. Comer and classmate
Jeffrey Wang won two bouts each to lead the Epee squad (8-1) to the win. The Sabre squad won 6-3 behind three wins from DeScherer.
• JHU followed with a 19-8 win over Drew with wins by the Foil (7-2) and Sabre (8-1) squads. Sophomore
Evan Lau led the Foil squad with three wins, while Kokosinski and junior
Vance Wood did the same in the Sabre.
• The Blue Jays grabbed 7-2 wins in the Foil and Sabre to fuel a 16-11 win over the Cornell Big Red. Sophomore
Paul Lam won all three of his bouts for the Sabre squad. Park, Gupta and Lau won two each to lead the Foil squad.
• Hopkins closed out the day with a 24-3 win over Rowan. Park and Lau each swept their round to lead the Foil squad to a 9-0 win. In the Epee, Kennedy and Kotaka won two bouts apiece and the Epee squad won 7-2. And in the Sabre, it was Desman (3-0) and Lam (3-0) leading the way.  Â

What it Means
• With the Blue Jays' third win of the day, Young earned his 300
th career win. Now in his 17
th season at Hopkins, Young sports a record of 303-174.
• Kokosinski picked up his 100
th career win with his sixth and final win of the day. He is the third Blue Jay to reach the milestone this year, joining Wood and senior
Jake Joram.
