Armstrong Announces 2020-2021 Recruiting Class

Blue Jays Welcome 12 Freshmen to Homewood

BALTIMORE, MD – Johns Hopkins men's and women's swim coach Scott Armstrong announced that 12 freshmen will join the Blue Jays for the 2020-21 season.

The Blue Jays' incoming class was ranked number one in the nation by D3swimming.com. Three men and three women were ranked in the top-25, including the number one and number three recruits on the women's side and the number three recruit on the men's side. The 12 incoming freshmen hail from 10 different states.

"I'm overjoyed to introduce this class," noted Armstrong. "This group came through as the number one class in all of Division III swimming, but more importantly they showed a dedication and character that will represent Johns Hopkins swimming at the highest level both athletically but also academically. I'm excited for what the future holds!"

The Blue Jay men were ranked fifth in the nation, while the women were ranked seventh, heading into the NCAA Championships, which were cancelled due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Hopkins produced a total of 27 College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) All-Americans following the season, with 12 men and 15 women earning the honor. In addition, junior Mikayla Bisignani earned her First Team CoSIDA Academic All-America honors for the second straight year.
