• Records: #2 Johns Hopkins (9-0-1, 6-0 CC) • McDaniel (12-1-0, 6-1-0 CC)
• Location: Baltimore, MD • Homewood Field
• The Short Story: Rachel Jackson found Katie Sullivan in the 99th-minute for a game-winning goal over 7th-ranked McDaniel on Wednesday afternoon in Westminster, MD.

How it Happened

1st Half
• Both teams had a lone shot on goal opportunity in the first half, leaving #2 and #7 deadlocked in a 0-0 tie after 45 minutes of play. Caitlin Hendricks saved a shot by Elaina Kluttz in the 30th minute to record her only save of the half. Emma Billings ripped a shot in the 35th minute for JHU, but pushed it out wide.

2nd Half
• In a tense and exciting second half battle, both teams were able to put more pressure on the opposition's defense. Hendricks was called upon early, making a save in the 52nd minute on a shot from Hannah Schepers. After a Riley O'Toole shot went wide in the 54th, the Green Terror challenged Hendricks again. This time the senior keeper saved a Taylor Clawson shot to the bottom left corner of the net. Continuing to get the better of the offensive chances, McDaniel got another shot on goal from Kluttz in the 61st minute, but Hendricks made her third save of the half and the fourth of the contest. In the 64th minute, the Blue Jays struck. Freshman Lilah Isenberg received the ball, turned and ripped one off the glove of a diving Carstensen and into the net for her first career goal. Hendricks made a fifth save in the 64th before Alanna Craig put one on net in the 65th minute, but Carstensen saved it to keep a 1-0 match. Hendricks made another save in the 85th minute, but McDaniel was able to tie things up in the 86th. Working off a free kick, the ball was played in towards Hendricks and shot up high into the air, after multiple failed clearances, the ball finally found the head of Jessica Weinoldt who powered it into the net for a 1-1 game. Hendricks saved Madyson Hill's shot in the 89th, helping to force overtime.

OT
• All three shots in overtime were taken by Katie Sullivan. After a shot sailed wide in the 92nd and a shot was saved in the 95th, the third time was the charm for the freshman. With less than two minutes remaining in the first overtime, Rachel Jackson played a cross into the box. Sullivan got her right foot onto the ball before a charging Carstensen could get there, pushing the ball into the back corner of the net for a 2-1 JHU victory.

What it Means
• The Blue Jays improve to 9-0-1 on the year, winners of eight straight contests and 10 straight contests against Centennial Conference opposition.
• Oddly enough, the Blue Jays have played against the seventh-ranked team four times in the last two seasons, going 3-1 in those contests.
• JHU improved to 2-0-1 this season against ranked opponents.
