The Short Story: Visiting Navy used a 4-1 third quarter to take control en route to a 14-10 win over the Johns Hopkins water polo team Saturday morning.

How it Happened
• Navy jumped out to a two-goal lead with goals from Isaac Salinas and Jack Weggeland in the game's opening 71 seconds. Senior
Emerson Sullivan got Hopkins on the board with a man-up goal at the 3:20-mark. Will Clark answered for the Mids to push the lead back to two.
• Junior
Chris Freese and Sullivan came right back with goals just 33 seconds apart to knot the score at three with 1:46 to play in the quarter. Navy countered with goals from Merle Richman and Clark to take a 5-3 lead after one.
• Hopkins opened the second with three straight goals by
Jayden Kunwar, Jake Pearson and Sullivan to grab a 6-5 lead with 5:02 to go. Navy answered with a three-goal run of its own to go into the half with an 8-6 lead.
• The Mids erupted with a 4-1 third quarter to push their lead to 12-7 heading into the fourth. Freshman
Ian Raley scored the lone Blue Jay goal in the third.
• Michael Heller and Jake Altmayer sandwiched goals around a strike from Freese and Navy led 14-8 with 5:17 to play. Junior
Kamran Eslami and Kunwar scored back-to-back goals to pull Hopkins back within four, but the Blue Jays could get no closer.

• Hopkins falls to 9-58 all-time against Navy.

• Sullivan led the Blue Jays with a hat trick and four points, while also drawing three exclusions. Kunwar added two goals, an assist and three drawn exclusions. Kunwar's first-quarter goal was the 150
th of his career, making him the 18
th player in program history to reach the mark.
• Freese matched his career-high with four points (2g, 2a). Freshman
Kyle Pearson made seven saves in nearly 27 minutes of action. Pearson now has 101 saves on the season, the fourth most by a freshman in program history. Freshman
Connor Mechelke played the final 5:17 and made one save.
