LANCASTER, PA – A conference-best six Blue Jays were named to the All-Centennial Teams, led by freshman forward
Katie Sullivan earning Rookie of the Year honors.
The Johns Hopkins women's soccer team placed two players on the All-Centennial First Team and four players on the second team it was announced earlier today. This is the first time since 2017 in which six Blue Jays were honored after five were named to the teams in 2018 and 2019.
Sullivan becomes the fourth player in program history to be named Centennial Conference Rookie of the Year, joining teammates
Riley O'Toole ('17) and
Rachel Jackson ('18) and also Ana Bengoechea ('13). Sullivan was also named First Team All-Centennial, making her the eighth player in program history to receive that honor. Sullivan has totaled 10 goals and three assists on the season with seven of her goals being of the game-winning variety. Sullivan currently has the eighth-most points by a freshman in program history with 23.
Joining Sullivan on the first team was graduate defender
Bonnie Shea. The Dartmouth transfer has started all 17 games for the Blue Jays, totaling 1,479 minutes and adding two goals on the offensive end. Shea has played at least 90 minutes in 12 contests this season and has helped captain a defense that has allowed just seven goals in 17 games.

Sophia Stone and
Caitlin Hendricks were all named to the All-Centennial Second Team, giving the Blue Jays a conference-best six players honored. McDaniel, Franklin & Marshall and Gettysburg all had five players honored. Ari Konstantopoulos was the Blue Jay representative on the All-Sportsmanship team
For Jackson, she has been honored by the Centennial Conference in all three full seasons. Jackson was named Rookie of the Year in 2018 and was a first team selection in 2019. Jackson is second on the team with 17 points, scoring six goals and dishing out five assists while starting all 17 games. Jackson has scored a pair of game-winning goals and is fourth on the team among field players with 1,127 minute played.
Ellis, a transfer from Illinois, is not a player you will find on the stat sheet, but you can't miss her on the field. A physical force in the midfield, Ellis played 1,055 minutes, starting 16 contests and dishing out an assist.
Stone, a sophomore defender from Los Angeles, has played an enormous role in what is her first real season of game play. Stone started 14 of 17 games, totaling 1,206 minutes and adding eight points. Dangerous on set pieces, Stone dished out four assists on the season and also contributed a pair of goals, including the game-winning goal vs. Washington College.
For Hendricks it is her first Centennial Conference honor to add to a laundry list of CoSIDA accolades. The senior keeper is soaring up the all-time lists in program history, sitting in the top-five in wins, saves, shutouts and goals against average. For the season, Hendricks is 13-1-2 with 62 saves and seven goals allowed. The senior keeper has a GAA of 0.45 and a save percentage of .899.
The Blue Jays will travel up north to Amherst, MA for the first weekend of the NCAA Tournament. Hopkins will take on Gordon at 1:30 pm on Saturday afternoon.
