The Short Story: The Johns Hopkins men's team returned to competition for the first time in 413 days and won 12 events en route to a 178-112 win at NJIT Sunday afternoon.

• Hopkins opened the meet by taking first and third in the 400 Medley Relay. Juniors
Dylan Wachenfeld,

Jeff Vitek and senior
Nat Davenport won the relay in 3:20.37. The team of freshmen

Justin Limberg,
Chris Seymour and
Jay Heymann finished in third with a time of 3:25.87.
• Freshman
Kellen Roddy then kicked off his career with a win the 1000 Free. He touched the wall in 9:35.92 to beat the field by more than 16 seconds. Sophomore
Alec Caswell took fifth place in 10:08.75.
• The Blue Jays then went one-two-three in the 200 Free. Sophomore
Kyle Wu led the way as he matched his career-best time with a 1:40.43. Junior
Collin Hughes placed second in 1:41.98 and sophomore
Steven Rua placed third with a 1:44.11.
• JHU turned the same trick in the 100 Back, led by Ide, who clocked in at 51.64 for his first collegiate win. Senior
Matt McGough took second with a time of 52.33 and Heymann followed in third in 53.15.
• Chen grabbed the top spot in the 100 Breast and posted the third fastest time in school history as he touched in 54.24. Sophomore
Tristan Lin took second place with a 56.01 and Limberg claimed fourth in 57.71.
• Vitek followed with a win in the 200 Fly, touching first in 1:49.05. Seymour clocked in with a 1:54.87 to place third.
• Davenport then placed second in the 50 Free as he finished in 21.76, while sophomore
Spencer Ryan took fourth in 21.93.
• The Blue Jays followed with a two-three-four finish in the 100 Free. Hughes led the way with a 46.71 for second place. Rua finished in third with a time of 47.38 and Ryan grabbed fourth in 49.22.
• Wachenfeld grabbed a win in the 200 Back as he beat the field with a 1:48.77. McGough claimed third with a 1:55.14 and Heymann finished in fourth in 1:57.85.
• Hopkins turned in a third top-three sweep, this time in the 200 Breast. Wu grabbed the win with a 2:02.45, just beating Chen by three-hundredths of a second. Sophomore
Brandon Stride finished in third with a time of 2:07.34.
• Roddy earned his second win of the day as he swam a 4:41.01 to take the top spot in the 500 Free.
• Vitek followed with his second win and completed his sweep of the Fly events as he finished the 100 with a time of 49.24. Ide finished in third place with a 50.72.
• Wachenfeld picked up his second individual win and posted a career-best time of 4:04.49 in the 400 IM. Lin place second with a 4:10.26.
• Hopkins closed out the day with first and second-place finishes in the 400 Free Relay. Hughes, McGough, Wu and Vitek swam a 3:05.62 to earn the win. Davenport, junior
