The Short Story: The Johns Hopkins men's tennis team beat host Ursinus 9-0 on Saturday to clinch the 2021 Centennial Conference title.

• Hopkins grabbed a 3-0 lead in the match with a doubles' sweep. Sophomore
Alexander Kernagis and senior
Vishnu Joshi took the first point of the match with an 8-1 win over Rob Ritchie and Darby Rogers at third. Freshmen
Arjun Asokumar and
Rohan Reddy then pulled out an 8-7 (1) win at second over Lars Jespersen and Will Oberholtzer. Freshmen
Thomas and
James Yu completed the sweep when they beat Matt Fontanese and Mason Groff 8-7 (1) at first.

Andrew Tran pushed the Blue Jays' lead to 4-0 with a quick 6-2, 6-0 win over Oberholtzer at fourth singles. Joshi then clinched the win when he beat Groff 6-1, 6-1 at first. Reddy followed with a 6-2, 6-0 win at second over Fontanese.

James Yu then beat Jespersen 6-2, 6-2 at third and Hopkins led 7-0. Junior
Brian Wang dropped just one game in his win over Kyle Bookman 6-0, 6-1 at sixth. Senior
Eric Yoo closed out the match when he beat Rogers 6-2, 6-2 at fifth.

• JHU clinches its 14
th straight and 15
th overall Centennial Conference title with the win today.Â
• Hopkins improves to 40-5 all-time against Ursinus and has won 29 straight in the series
• The Blue Jays push their conference win streak to 39 matches and will look to wrap up their 14
th undefeated conference slate next Saturday in the regular season finale.
