The Blue Jay women sit in a tie for eighth place at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Championships after two days of competition. JHU has a total of 12 points, matching Wisconsin-Eau Claire and sitting a point behind Wartburg in seventh.
In a light day for the Blue Jays,
Annie Gutierrez finished the final three events of the heptathlon. Gutierrez finished 17th with 3,580 points at the event. On Friday, Gutierrez competed in the long jump, javelin and 800. The senior posted a 4.93m leap to place 15th in the event and earn 540 points. Gutierrez hit a 25.36m javelin throw to place 15th and earn 389 points. The Floridian started, but did not finish the 800 due to injury.
The Blue Jays are set for a big final day of NCAA's with
Ella Baran,
Therese Olshanski and
Ariel Keklak competing in the 1,500 at 12:25 pm. Baran and
Alex Ross will run the 5,000 at 3:00 pm for the Jays. On the men's side, Jared Pangallozzi will run the 5,000 at 3:25 pm.
