LANCASTER, PA – Johns Hopkins seniors
Emmanuel Leblond and
Mackenzie Setton have been named the Centennial Conference Track Athletes of the Week following strong performances at the Raleigh Relays to open the Blue Jays' outdoor season. The honor marks the first conference recognition of the season for both student-athletes.
Leblond delivered an impressive performance in the 10,000 meters, placing 42
nd with a personal-best time of 29:45.03. Competing in a field of 130 runners largely made up of Division I athletes, Leblond was the top Division III finisher. His time ranks second in program history, fourth all-time in Centennial history and currently stands as the eighth-fastest mark in Division III this season.
Setton also turned in a strong showing to begin her senior campaign, clocking a personal-best 4:27.20 in the 1,500 meters. She placed 79
th overall in a highly competitive field of 227 athletes dominated by Division I competition and was the first Division III runner to finish. Her time ranks third in program history, fifth in conference history and is currently fourth on the Division III performance list this season
Hopkins returns to action on Friday, April 3, at the Dalton Ebanks Invitational, hosted by George Mason University.
